The Scripps National Spelling Bee has been a tradition among word loving students since 1925. The creative team at E.W. Scripps was looking to give the iconic brand a refreshing update.

I was contracted to help explore creative ideas that challenged the established look and feel of The Bee and to explore how far the brand could move away from the logo that had become so familiar to spelling enthusiast. My goal was to create a tone that felt modern, graphic, and bold.
